LabUp! is here to help people around the world in establishing non-profit Open Device Labs. Which helps others access a large number of mobile devices for testing. Leading to an ultimate improvement of the mobile web & app experience both for developers and consumers.
LabUp! brings in all their knowhow and together with the awesome Insidrrr, Maddesigns, beyond tellerrand and everybody of you we will create the biggest possible Open Device Lab right at the conference. To make that happen we’ve put a lot of effort in creating a secure and comfy environment for your beloved toys. And to prove we’re not kidding we will temporarily donate a good starter set of our very own Tablets and Smartphones to the ODL.
We invite you to temporarily “donate” your Device(s) to the Lab – just for some hours, or the duration of the conference. We will charge it and pay absolute attention that you’ll get it back. We’ll also make sure nobody taps into your private data or even touches it – you define what others can do with it. At a minimum, it just sits happily on a table and displays web content, remote controlled.
Like the idea of ODLs? Have a device (or know somebody that can spare one) that you want to permanently donate? Perfect! Bring it and we will transfer it to an ODL in need of devices so other developers can make a use of it - instead of having it rot in a dark drawer. And of course we make sure that you will get the credit for it! Any internet connected device, regardless of make, model or OS, is welcome - even if not 100% intact.
LabUp! also helps you get your own communal ODL up & running in hopefully much less of your precious free time, with less or no budget. For free.
Egon The family is a large, rather bunch of "plug-stylers" in all sizes, always perfectly round from the inside out.
There's well-known names as THE Egon (the great master), Crap Weather Egon, Spitting Ball Egon, Antlers Egon and the always cheerful Acidsmiley-Egon … but also characters as the Monster-Egon in all colors, the Sweet-Woodruff-Egon, Skin-Diver-Egon … and many simply do not want to be mentioned here and they wait for their very big show with helicopters and so …

Offscreen is a new periodical with an in-depth look at the life and work of digital creators captured in enduring print. It aims to tell the less obvious human stories of creativity, passion and hard work that hide behind every interface.
Each issue is built around six lengthy interviews with creative minds of successful websites, apps and other digital products. The magazine talks to aspiring freelancers and renowned designers and developers, and ask them about their professional and private lives, what inspires and motivates them, and what goes on behind the scenes of some of the Web's biggest names.

"Hello. I'm Stefan. And I love coffee. I spilled some on a piece of paper one day in cold november and found something. A coffeemonster. Since then I do it everyday, or at least I try. I create sweet, lovely and sometimes just evil coffeemonsters because I like doing it and have by now made about 230 of them. I really enjoy every single one because I enjoy creation and the determination or c oincidence of coffee hitting paper. Procedure? Not a secret at all. I take some coffee and let it splash onto a piece of paper. After drying for about 4 to 6 hours I can draw directly onto the stain. I try to see a character or figure in it and when I find something, I draw it. Tadaaa. That's coffeemonsterlicious."
Stefan Kuhnigk is a creative professional from Germany. He studied design from 2005-2010 at the HSNR and finished with a diploma thesis about music videos for local-bands and their effect. Also being educated in drawing, layout, copywriting, communication design and advertising he is creating "fail and cool" day by day. After finishing his diploma he is now working as designer and copywriter.

Illhill Streetwear is influenced by various subcultures. Including graffiti, street art, urban music and skateboarding. The boys behind Illhill – Holger and Marco – are also involved in various cultural events from the local scene such as the Horst Festival, the "Umsonst & Draußen Festival" in Moenchengladbach, the Wall of Anrath action or the skate contest in Krefeld.

LEYHAUSEN.ORG stands for 28 years of Apple experience. Since 1992 Torsten Leyhausen, the owner, works full time in the Apple technical support. In 2006 he became Apple service providers. GarageLab e.V. is Düsseldorfs first FabLab.(fabrication laboratory)
In our yet very small FabLab in an old garage-court you will find a well equipped analog workshop and several 3D printers. Our community is growing fast and we’re looking forward to offer a lot more in the near future to provide our members a wide variety of tools and processes: Workshops in 3D printing, up cycling, Arduino stuff … if you want to be part of this development, feel free to join us!
The combination of different tools (old or modern) and the interaction of members with a very broad background, empowers us to develop new ideas, products and techniques. Either for fun, personal or public use.

GarageBilk is Düsseldorf’s first Coworking Space. You can work here from Monday to Friday 9am to 11pm and – if you like – even at weekends.
We envision a space that functions as a combination of a library, a home office, a university campus and a cafe – we just combined the best of all these locations.
Since November 2010, we have been operating in a space formerly used as a garage-court with a filling station on Bilker Allee, close to the Bilker Main Station. Since then about 150 freelance professionals from the creative scene have been working here: graphic designers, programmers, photographers, architects, designers, academics, lawyers, non-governmental organisations, translators, video artists, journalists and bloggers.
At GarageBilk, we offer workspace for quiet, concentrated work, as well as communicative space, where you can make a phone call, or simply think aloud. Apart from a separate meeting room and a community-kitchen, we have an open space of approximately 100 square meters, 5 start-up offices and a fablab. Of course, we provide access to printer, scanner and wifi.

WebWorks is BlackBerry's web development framework and is developer's Bridge between the old BlackBerry OS, The BlackBerry PlayBook and BlackBerry10. As well as to Other vendors Platforms using HTML5, CSS3 and JS technologies. It's an open source project including the development tools like ripple.
Developers at our stand can learn how to package their web assets and run them through our tools to create a BlackBerry application.

Christoph Kaltseis is interested in photography ever since he was a kid. The elemental forces working in the inner Earth and the expansion of the universe always fascinated him. Since 2004 his career went very fast: He showed his photos to the Nikon Professional Service, which led to the fact that he was soon a very popular specialist for the NASA, the Nikon School, Adobe and others. His amazing photography shows a wide range of subjects. Whether it is his beautiful space photography or his incredible volcano images, you’ll see the forces of nature in its pure beauty.
But that is not all about him: He also founded the CEDIC, the Central European Deepsky Imaging Conference and is a well knwn photoshop specialist.
And if you take the chance and talk to him, he might be able to tell you the one or other story or – who knows – has the one or other hint for you for your photographers career ;)
